| Tuesday
Depart Cape Town via the Du Toit’s Kloof mountain
pass tunnel to the town of Worcester for wine tasting
and lunch on a local farm. On to Oudtshoorn and the
Ostrich capital of the world and over night at the 3
* Riempies Estate Hotel
Wednesday
In Oudtshoorn we visit the spectacular Cango Caves,
and Wildlife Ranch, where you can view crocodile, cheetah,
tiger, lion, jaguar, puma, and as an option, touch a
cheetah! Lunch is at an ostrich farm before we turn
south and decent the spectacular Outeniqua Pass into
George. We travel eastwards onto Knysna lagoon where
we over night at the 4* Knysna Quays in the Water Front
marina.
Thursday
We offer a few options this morning – free time
to wander around the quaint little town of Knysna or
an excursion to the Garden of Eden or an opportunity
to touch an elephant at the Knysna Elephant Park. We
meet up again just before lunch and take a cruise across
the lagoon to the Knysna Heads and Featherbed Nature
Reserve. Here we enjoy a nature walk through the Cape
Fynbos with its magnificent views of the Lagoon and
Indian Ocean. A buffet lunch awaits us on returning
before cruising back across the lagoon to rejoin our
coach. We head off to Mossel Bay where we over night.
Friday
Takes us to visiting the Post Office Tree, where sailors
of a by gone era left mail for homebound ships to Europe.
The museum with Vasco da Gama ship is next door. We
board our coach and continue onto Swellendam for Lunch.
After lunch we continue on to Cape Town arriving around
18.00 hrs after 4 fabulous days.
- Groups of four or more may enquire
about our alternative departure dates.
- Air conditioned coaches or smaller people carriers
vehicles will be used depending on the group size.
- Departs every Tuesday at 8.30 am from Cape Town
- Returning every Friday at approximately 18.00 hrs
with drop off at either your hotel or Cape Town Airport.
